Room & Facilities Hire
We have several training rooms and training facilities that can be hired for your own use. You must adhere to our health and safety policy and must also have appropriate insurances in place. For access to practical training areas you need to demonstrate that your trainer/assessor holds the relevant certificates of competency.
SA001 Overhead Safety including Joint User Poles
The SA001 qualification covers three modules: Overhead Safety, Pole checking and Joint user Poles. Aimed at operatives working on the overhead telecoms network it takes up to 2.5 days.

SA001a Overhead safety awareness
This is an awareness ONLY course and can be delivered in person or online, it does not include climbing or any practical element. The course is suitable for MEWP operators or senior staff.
SA002 Underground Safety 1-Day Course
This accreditation covers Gas Testing and Cover Lifting. It provides learners with the knowledge and skills to identify the hazards and potential risks involved in working safely on or in proximity to underground structures and operational buildings.
SA003 Safe Use of Respiratory Protective Equipment
This course provides learners with the skills and knowledge of selection and use of adequate and suitable Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE) in the workplace, in order to comply with the law.
SA004 Safe Use of Abrasive Wheels
This 1/2 day course including a practical lesson and assessment teaches the safe use of abrasive wheels including portable cut-off saws.
SA005 Safe Moving and Handling (Manual Handling)
A half-day course in the principles and practices of safe manual handling, can be delivered remotely as there is no practical element.
SA006 Safe Working in Civils (1.5 days)
This qualification is required for anyone working on the Openreach network where there are breaking ground or there is a risk to network infrastructure or any harm to persons.
SA007 Asbestos Awareness
This half-day training provides essential foundation knowledge in the dangers of asbestos and can be delivered remotely.
SA011 Locate and Clear Blockages
Aimed predominantly at telecoms workers this 1-day training demonstrate safe methods for locating and clearing blockages in the underground networks.
SA015 Duct Laying
The purpose of this accreditation is to provide learners with the necessary information to understand and demonstrate the requirements for duct laying and slewing in the telecoms utility pipe networks
SA016 Core Drilling
This course covers core drilling into telecommunications jointing chambers in accordance with industry standards.
